''The Forum Newsweekly'' is a weekly newspaper published every-other Wednesday in Shreveport, Louisiana. The news-magazine is also known as ''Forum'', ''Forum Magazine'' and ''The Forum''. == History == ''The Forum News'' is owned and published by Venture Publishing, Inc. of Shreveport. ''The Forum'' began publication by its current owner Jay Covington, originally of East Texas, in 1988. Forum has a bi-weekly circulation of 23,000 copies and is audited annually by CVC. The newsmagazine is distributed in Caddo, Bossier, De Soto, Webster, Claiborne and Red River parishes in northwest Louisiana. It is also distributed in Harrison, Marion and Gregg counties in east Texas. In 2006 a lifestyles publication, ''CityLife Magazine'', was added. The monthly publication has a circulation of 12,000. ''The Forum'' covers Ark-La-Tex news, politics, views, arts and entertainment. The magazine includes seasoned journalists such as Lou Gehrig Burnett, Chuck Fellers, and Marty Carlson. Political consultant, pollster, and political analyst Elliott Stonecipher has also contributed.
